CONCEPT OF 100 HOURS

100 Hours – Race Against Time is MAAC’s flagship creative marathon that challenges students to conceptualize and produce a creative project within an intense 100-hour timeline. Designed to simulate real industry conditions, the event takes students through the complete production pipeline from idea generation and pre-production to production and final output while working under strict deadlines. The competition encourages collaboration, innovation, and quick decision-making, closely reflecting the fast-paced environment of the media and entertainment industry.
Through this experience, students gain valuable learning outcomes, including hands-on exposure to the creative production pipeline, effective team collaboration, and the ability to manage projects within tight timelines. Participants also strengthen their creative thinking, technical execution, problem-solving, and production planning skills, helping them build the confidence and practical knowledge required to work in professional studio environments.

The competition will start on 22th March 2025, 12:00 hrs IST.

The competition ecosystem allows the students teams to compete with each other at inter-centre & country level.

With the strong mentorship of Experts, the students get to experience a professional approach working on output of an short film.

While studying in classrooms, students get to learn the various software modules independently; whereas, in 100 HRS they will get to implement the learning of the modules thereby giving the complete exposure of film making process from Script to Screen
